Baking Soda
Using baking soda will let you create a chemical reaction that will clean your accessories. If you are attempting to clean tarnish from silver, you can make a thick paste with ¼ cup baking soda and 2 tablespoons water. Use this paste to rub, rinse, and buff your silvers.
For gold jewelry, you can cover it with water and add baking soda. You can let it soak in a bowl for a while before removing it and wiping it with a clean cloth. Make sure to let it dry before storing it in your jewelry box. Do not use this method for accessories with soft gemstones or pearls.
Soap and Water

Ketchup
Ketchup isn’t just for dipping fries. You can also dip your tarnished silver jewelry in it. You can use a soft-bristled toothbrush to work the ketchup into the different crevices and surfaces of your jewelry. Remember to do this gently so that you don’t scratch your jewelry! Do this quickly and rinse your jewelry clean.
Toothpaste
Want to make your diamond more sparkly? You can use toothpaste and an old toothbrush to help clear away the grime. You can lightly scrub it and reach the tough-to-reach nooks in your accessory. After doing this, you can rinse it with water and wipe it clean.
